Senior Technical Sales Engineer
POSITION OVERVIEW
Kafou Energy Company is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to play a key role in the company’s Energy Services growth. In line with the company’s vision and strategy, the position's primary goal is to work directly with clients and serve customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, and energy services.
The selected candidate will be required to perform a wide range of duties, including identifying the potential of developing energy efficiency and management projects and services in addition to penetrating customer satisfaction by explaining and demonstrating the offering of cost reductions and operations improvements. The Energy Sales Engineer should be aware of the company's technical services besides focusing on optimizing the strategies, the candidate should have the ability to support opportunity development and manage relationships with current as well as future customers.
The candidate should be aware of energy services and energy-saving products (i.e., lighting system, power optimization, HVAC system, BMS system, energy-saving solutions), and capable of developing energy contracts and businesses. The candidate is responsible for Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Development and Project Management Support.
- Carry out cost benchmarks on past projects.
- Ensure the project costs are aligned with market trends.
- Coordinate with the design team to prepare and follow up on local approvals and regulations.
- Prepare and develop sales presentations to explain the company's services to potential customers.
- Responsible to set, implement and manage sales plans (Pipeline management, CRM management...)
- Responsible to manage the sales process and well-implemented strategy.
- Responsible to backstop to estimation team to reach business competitiveness by exploring market edges
- Soliciting and documenting client feedback to create adaptation sales and marketing strategies.
- Establish new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales call schedules.
- Prepare cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, and consulting with engineers and other professional personnel.
- Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
- Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives
- Generate high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries.
- Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to top management.
- Capability to penetrate the energy business in the private sector and develop business opportunities of energy performance.
- Ability to present Energy Efficiency and Photovoltaics phases and requirements to customers’ management and engineering personnel.
- Train other sales team members on the sales and marketing aspects of the company's products and services.
- Generate high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- Saudi Experience is a must.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (preferred) or any related field.
- 4-6 years of similar industry experience especially sales and technology experience
- Good technical background.
- Good leadership and team working skills.
- Fluency in English required.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Solid background in energy management solutions and performance contracts.
- Solid background in engineering services and products, i.e., HVAC, BMS, and lighting systems.
- Good knowledge of photovoltaic systems [on-grid and off-grid], EV Chargers,
- Ability to clearly explain the design, incentives, and cash flow for the Photovoltaics system.
- CEM or CEA is a plus.

- Good English writing skills (proposal making, correspondence) to make comprehensive offers also verbal communication skills.

- Solid skills in MS Office Suite (Project, Word & PPT, Excel) are required
